Construction Photos - Completed House

The SIPs house is currently situated on a wooded rural lot in Western Washington.
The back of the house faces South.

PNNL installed long-term energy monitors in September 2001 and will monitor energy consumption for one year. Additional information is available in the Technical Information Center, click on Performance Testing.
Michael Lubliner of the Washington State University Energy Program conducted depressurization tests, duct pressurization tests, and fan performance tests. The house was found to be among the tightest manufactured homes ever evaluated at 3.5 air changes per hour at 50 Pascal of pressure. A central fan provides mechanical ventilation.

Site inspectors found foam in the duct work, a remnant of the SIPs technology.
