Subfloor wrap seals in insulation but is perforated for electrical and plumbing access. There are also other perforations in the vapor barriers in the attic space.

Ductwork, especially dampers and their controls (shown here), are critical to the proper operation of the heating and cooling system.
Sensors were used to measure how often windows were open and shut.
Researcher Don Hadley was responsible for installing monitoring equipment, part of which is shown in the electrical box.
